We all know what can happen when we have one too many drinks. Alcohol can completely affect our cognitive ability and memory. Some other temporary side effects from alcohol can include blurry vision, dizziness, and redness of the eyes. Although the effects of alcohol usually wear off after a couple of hours, there can be long-term effects on your vision from excessive drinking.

Blurred and double vision: Over time, your eye muscles can become weakened and you can get blurred vision or double vision.
Weakened pupils: Drinking too much alcohol can also cause your pupils to react more slowly, causing you to have tunnel vision. At this point, driving becomes a safety hazard as you would be unable to react quickly to changes on the road.
Decreased ability to see colour contrast: It will become extremely difficult to distinguish between different shades of colours.
Frequent migraines: There are substances in alcoholic drinks that trigger headaches and migraines.
To ensure you don’t suffer from any of these symptoms, make sure you take control of your habits in order to protect your precious eyesight.
